How do we measure Health?
Health is a big concept. Everyone defines it a little differently. I propose that we start defining health as our ability to enjoy life in the bodies we have. When we define it that way, it includes everyone and it is something we all have the ability to improve. There are hundreds of ways we could measure health, but for decades, centuries, (?) millennia, (?) we have defined it as our ability to fit popular society's (varied by culture) ideal body. Of all the ways we can measure health, size/weight gets by far the most attention and is by far the most difficult to change in a sustainable way. Why not focus on some other metrics for a change?
*by the way, all of the metrics in the graphic are ones where most of us can show measurable success or growth, unlike our ability to change our weight/size.
